Everything’s coming up color this year, with a veritable tsunami of highly saturated shades crashing into our favorite retailers just in time for spring. You can go big in a color-blocked ensemble with complementary shades, or just get a little pop of color in with a couple carefully planned colorful accessories. Whichever way you chose to amp it up, don’t be afraid to really go for it. Dressing should be fun, and what’s more fun than hot pink??
Tops
A brightly colored top doesn’t have to be hard to style! When in doubt, a great way to wear color is with your favorite pair of jeans. Every color looks good with denim, and you can just slip into some white sneakers to finish the look.Give your basics a rainbow update by swapping out plain t-shirts for coral, green, or powder blue? If you love a white button-down, how about a kelly green version? Or a bubble-gum pink?
Bottoms
A lemony yellow pair of high-waisted pants or brightens up any outfit. Or maybe a peony pink is more your shade? I love the wide-legged, relaxed drama of these green jeans. For the color shy, a royal blue pair of pants is basically the same thing as wearing your favorite jeans. And if you love that shade, then you can really go for it with this easy, breezy Anthropologie dress.
Shoes
Shoes are an easy way to dip your toe in with a pop of color, especially when it comes to spicing up your daily uniform. Swap out your neutral loafers for a pair of Rothys in a rich raspberry, lime green, or orchid shade. These neon orange Naomi Osaka x Nike sneakers look good in the gym or on the pavement with a pair of white jeans. A citrusy lime green pair of Nike Air Forces will put some spring in your step.
Accessories
A purse is an easy way to get some color in your ensemble without having to worry about being too match-y. Whether it’s a royal blue ruched leather bag, a green Clare V crossbody, or a pretty pink wicker bag from Frances Valentine for spring.
Finally, don’t overthink it. Throw on a hot pink hat! Or coral sunglasses.
