I’m wearing this Gap mixed-media dress! It’s a great way to feel like you’ve put together a full outfit, when really all you’ve done is thrown on a dress. The dark bottom also makes it feel easy to wear right now in February, instead of having to wait for the weather to cheer up. And it’s Gap! I’ve been so impressed with the brand lately.
The polo had a moment last year, and it’s not settling down. La Ligne’s long-sleeve polo looks great with black trousers, but in the summer I’m going to wear it with Bermuda shorts or a cute skirt! Another great transitional piece is a short sleeved sweater, like this cashmere Veronica Beard number or this Banana Republic one.
We still have a few months of sweater weather ahead of us, so why not put away that black or navy crewneck workhouse and reach for this white and navy striped Kule cashmere number? I also love the playful ‘love’ embroidered on the sleeve in red. It’s also time to start thinking about cotton sweaters, which you can all the way through summer. I love this oversized striped Banana Republic sweater, J.Crew’s heritage rollneck sweater, and this Zara striped hoodie.
And of course, you can always go full French girl and wear a long-sleeve t-shirt. J.Crew’s perfect fit tee is a more modern version, while Gap’s boatneck version feels more classic Breton.
