At the end of the day, it doesn’t get much chicer than jeans and a crisp button-down shirt. In fact – it’s pretty much our daily uniform. But that doesn’t mean you can’t take it up a notch. I like playing around with the wash and silhouette of the denim. When spring comes around, it’s fun to swap out classic white for a fun stripe or pretty pastel. And luckily for you, we found all the best shirts and jeans at Bloomingdale’s for you.
First up: the shirt. You can’t go wrong with Ralph Lauren, the original fashionable button down. I love their pastel pink stripe and their baby blue stripe. They tend to run right along your curves, making it a great shirt for those who want something a little more fitted. On the oversized side, Casa Cabana’s blue striped shirt is a little looser. For a pink version, Monrow’s stretch shirt is perfectly slouchy. For something incredibly chic, look at A.L.C.’s Monica striped shirt. It comes with oversized sleeves perfect for scrunching up in an effortless way, and I love the extra length. Rag & Bone’s ICONS shirt with a contrasting stripe on the pocket gives the shirt a bit of an extra edge.
I love new jeans. There’s something about a fresh pair that breathes life into your whole wardrobe. All of a sudden, everything feels exciting again. Right now, for me that means a true bootcut jean after years of straight-leg. I love this super high-waisted, long Mother Weekender jean in a dreamy light blue. These Paige high-rise Laurel Canyon jeans are another of my everyday go-tos.
It’s also a great time of year for super dark wash denim. It’s super flattering and can add a bit of drama! I love Joe’s Jean’s Hi Honey for those exact reasons. Frame’s Le Mini jeans are just as dark, but a little edgier thanks to the crop and front seam. It’s a genuinely fun pair of jeans.
