How To Wear A Silk Skirt, One Of Your Most Versatile Pieces

Give us a twirl.

How To Wear A Silk Skirt, One Of Your Most Versatile Pieces

A silky, slinky skirt makes everything sexier – even if you throw an oversized sweater on top. Not to mention they look good on everyone! And with holiday season coming up, silk skirts have the perfect amount of sparkle for any party you have on the horizon. Don’t forget to twirl in it. That’s the best part!

I’m always talking about Quince, but for good reason! It’s just more affordable than so many other brands out there. Their ankle-length slip skirt is one of their bestsellers, and right now I’m eyeing the rich cranberry color or the light champagne version to light up these dark post-Daylight Savings nights.

In fact, I’m pretty drawn to non-black silk skirts right now. Chocolate brown continues to be my favorite color this season, like this Rails skirt or this showstopping to-the-floor Veronica Beard skirt. This mushroom-y grey color is a kind of strange color, but it really glows on anyone who wears it!

A long skirt can sometimes be a little hard to style. A slit on the side, like on this Madewell slip skirt, breaks up the lines and makes it more interesting. AYR’s Eleganza skirt also has a side slit, and a slightly wide flare. I also love the slightly uneven hem on this Jenni Kayne black skirt! All the better to show off your favorite shoes.

Speaking of showing off shoes, I’ve been wearing my knee-high boots nonstop lately, so a shorter skirt is a great way to show them off! Leaning into winter whites, imagine this snowy white knee-length skirt with a chunky sweater and big sparkly earrings!
