18 Pairs of The Best Ballet Flats For Spring

Nothing says spring like a new pair of flats.

18 Pairs of The Best Ballet Flats For Spring

One of the easiest ways to turn an outfit from winter to spring? Switching out your boots or loafers for a pair of ballet flats. It’s time to show off those ankles! From a fire-engine red pop of color to luxuriously textured neutrals, shop our favorite pairs of ballet flats below.

The ballet flat has been back for a few years now, in every possible iteration. Instead of playing too much with form, I’m switching mine up with a color! A colored shoe can feel intimidating, but if you dress mostly in neutrals (like me), they slot in easily to any outfit! I love these almond-toed, cherry red Everlane flats. Alex Mill introduced their first ballet shoe, and their Prince Street flat lives up to the hype. I love the pretty light blue color and the adorable bow.

But if you’re looking for something a little more understated, you can’t go wrong with a neutral. I think they look especially nice with darker pants, which is great for this transitional period. Margaux’s pointed-toe flat in tan and black gets you the Chanel look for a whole lot less.

Looking ahead to summer, there’s something romantic and practical about a slingback flat. It feels very Jackie O, very Swans of Fifth Avenue. Margaux’s pointed toe slingback in a sleek black brings some elegance and contrast to your favorite swing-y skirts and sundresses. But for right now, they work beautifully with a kick flare pair of jeans. A little more breathing room is always nice on a hot day, and these tan leather latticed flats from M.Gemi will give it to you.
