I just can’t get enough of golf. Whether it’s leisurely rounds with Bob on vacation or a quick nine holes catching up with a friend, it’s safe to say I’m obsessed. And I’m not the only one! There are more companies than ever finally bringing us stylish clothes and equipment, whether you’re swinging a club or a racket. Summer sports are an easy way to get a little exercise and soak up some sun – now you can actually look good while doing it!
Let’s start with the classics. Lacoste has never looked better or felt more contemporary. I love their pleated heritage skirt , with the famous crocodile peering out between plaits. J.Crew’s sport dress looks cute and wicks moisture as you work up a sweat. Peter Millar’s technical pant is a favorite when I’m hitting the links.
It’s time to talk Tory. Tory Sport is Tory Burch’s sportswear line, made specially for tennis and golf. She brings the same attention to detail as her ready-to-wear, which means these are seriously stylish sporting outfits. I love the 1920’s influence of this Performance V-Neck tennis dress, this cute polo-and-skirt set featuring a pique heart, and this pale blue skirt with a cute little ruffle.
Tennis core has become it’s own movement in the fashion world. Don’t believe me? Kule, a brand started by former Vogue editors, released an entire tennis-themed collection this year. Most of the pieces work better after the match than during, but I love the Tennis Tote, the Raleigh Tennis Club crew, and this show-stopping cable knit sweater in red, navy, and cream.
When it comes to equipment, there have never been more options. Tory Sport’s convertible tennis tote in a chic navy-and-white works at the farmer’s market and the tennis court. This special edition Mark & Graham’s monogrammed racket case or this Williams-Sonoma sporty striped tennis tote are equally great options. Want to add a little flair to your pickle ball game? How about these two printed paddles from J.McLaughlin in a preppy blue pattern and a watercolor-inspired blue and green?
