A uniform is important. When you get dressed in the morning, it’s nice to know you have your key pieces you can just throw on. And every season, my uniform changes a little bit with seasonal swap outs. Right now I’m relying on a mixture of essential tees, easy to layer jackets, and pants that go with everything.
There’s always a button down shirt in my rotation, and right now it’s this Banana Republic classic shirt. I love the blue color and the thin black stripe, which feels a little bit unexpected and different enough to add something extra to every outfit.
A great chino is a sign that spring is coming, and I love this Nili Lotan cropped, straight cut pant. It feels fresh but a little bit boyish, and I can style them with oversized pieces or more fitted tees. They can be sporty, too!
I’ve fallen in love with Quince’s affordable but still stylish cashmere, that feels trendy enough for now but classic enough for next year. I’ve been wearing the Fisherman crewneck practically every day in the deep navy.
James Perse has long been a favorite of mine when it comes to basics. His slub cotton t-shirt has snuck back into my daily uniform. I love the longer length of the sleeve, and the flattering scoop neck. It’s just fitted enough to tuck in. It’s perfect!
This Nike Daybreak in a creamy beige color way is the kind of unexpectedly chic sneaker that converts even the most sneaker-averse. It’s the sneaker that belongs on a Nancy Meyers heroine as she gardens her tomatoes. I love them.
I’ve been reaching for my bomber jacket every time I leave the house! It’s one of those unexpected pieces that adds a cool kid vibe to jeans and t-shirt, and I like it when I can add an element of surprise to my outfits.
A cropped, mini-flare jean is a fun way to show off a new silhouette. The Hustler by Mother Denim is my favorite. This light wash is one of my favorites, and the crop means you can really show off whatever shoes you have on.
Frame’s Jetset denim is super stretchy, but still polished. I love this black pair with a slight flare because I get the look of a trouser with the comfort of a sweatpant. The perfect sitting at a desk pant.
Look, it’s still technically winter so my toes get cold! I throw on these J.Crew cashmere socks which are a luxurious treat. They’re like more elegant house slippers.
Finally, our Old School sweatshirt. Because we like to declare it loud and proud.
