You either ski, or you don’t. And if you ski, then it’s part of the culture to take some time during the holiday break to hit the slopes. To be honest, it’s been a while since we were slaloming down any double black diamonds but we’re still pretty fond of an après-ski moment.
Après-ski requires the same basics as a cute winter outfit, but with a few extra requirements. You need shoes weatherproof shoes, a heavy coat, and most importantly you have to have easy-to-layer basics. Lululemon’s Align leggings are the perfect layering basic that will keep you warm, plus it comes in a ton of different colors. Tory Sport also has some insanely good leggings, like these color-blocked ones or this chevron pair.
Our favorite part? The sweater, which is the perfect time to get funky with it. If you’re feeling fancy, then this Ralph Lauren tuxedo polo bear sweater is as fancy as it gets. It’s sequined, for the maximum chalet chic. Tory Sport’s Fair Isle-inspired sweater straddles the line of retro and current perfectly.
On to the coats! This Alexander Vauthier velvet puffer is as luxurious as it gets, but this H&M chocolate brown puffer is just as stylish. Toss on these Tory Sport red-and-black colorblocked boots or these suede-and-shearling Moon Boots and you’ll be ready to traipse through the snow no matter how many mulled wines you drink.
If you’re still out there shredding as much powder as possible, then first of all, good for you. No, seriously, that’s amazing. And if you ski, you care about your ski gear. Meet Matek, a new line of ski gear that’s both affordably priced and fashion-forward. Their jersey and mesh leggings and turtleneck bodysuit come in classic black but also on-trend colors like this royal blue.
