The new denim edit is here, and it’s full of jeans that are wearable for all shapes and sizes. We picked out the three trends that we can wear, and how we would wear them.
Trouser jeans are high-waisted and somewhere in between a flare and a straight-leg. Considering the proliferation of trousers in fashion, it shouldn’t be surprising that they trickled into the denim sphere. But they did, and we love it. The crisp pleat, the length that makes your legs look even longer, and the ability to dress them up or down. Nobody Denim’s Francoise pant is the perfect example of the trend. Dark wash, a heavier denim, and an almost utilitarian bend to them. They would look just as good with high heels and a blazer as with sneakers and whatever sweatshirt you have lying around the house. Either way, they feel undoubtedly fresh and new.
Boot cut is back, baby. But trends come back slowly, so it might be the extreme flare you remember. This time, it’s a little more subtle and usually on a straight leg. Everlane’s cheeky bootcut nails the look. & Other Stories has a light wash version reminiscent of vintage Levi’s. Wear with your favorite boots for the season and a belted blazer.
For years, cropped jeans and pants have enjoyed the spotlight. While there are still plenty of stylish cropped options out there, this season was the first that we saw the return of full-length denim. The kind of jeans you can only wear with heels. They make your legs look longer and feel dressier, which we personally love. Other Stories’s slim-fit pair perfectly illustrates what I’m talking about. The straight leg and darker wash feels modern, but this is a timeless pair of jeans. Speaking of timeless, Calvin Klein also has an amazing pair
