When I’m getting dressed in the morning, boots are the shoes that make me feel the most stylish and put together. I’m always anxiously awaiting to see what the new It Boot is but this year there doesn’t seem to be one! This fall there’s truly a boot for everyone. Riding boots, kitten heels, stacked booties, Western-inspired, metallic – these fall boots are as versatile as the outfits I plan to wear my newest pair with.
The tall boot craze isn’t going anywhere, which means it’s the perfect time to take the plunge. I’ve been eyeing this Paris Texas pair because the crocodile-embossed leather is a textural bonus. There’s something so sexy about the peek of patent leather at the bottom of your outfit, too! On the more minimalist side of things, Everlane’s banana heel boot has some sculptural, scrunchy appeal. I love them in black or chocolate brown. Larroude’s flat riding boot is the perfect mix of utilitarian influence and true fashion instincts.
For an everyday, uniform boot I gravitate towards at least some kind of heel – even if it’s just a kitten. Toteme’s kitten-heel suede boots make every outfit look a little bit better. Everlane’s City boot has a comfortable block heel and modern square toe. COS’s pointed-toe boot combined with the swoop of the heel leaves a much higher impact than the price tag suggests. On the dressier side of everyday, I’m obsessed with these brown suede chocolate brown Jimmy Choo boots. The gold details and leather wrap-around detail make them feel truly special.
Western boots are back too, thanks to Khaite’s instantly iconic Dallas boot from a few years ago. This season, I like J.Crew’s fun interpretation in interesting leathers and finishes like this espresso croc version or this shiny silver shoe. COS’s exaggerated, elongated cowboy boot feels elevated and chic in basic black.
