Are you sick of t-shirts yet? At the same time, the thought of anything too stiff or structured is not appealing. The perfect middle ground? Lately, I’ve been relying on fun tops instead of t-shirts, just so I can feel a little more dressed. What are fun tops, you ask? Something loose and flowy, ideally in a light fabric. Bonus points if the shirt is printed and colorful, to inject a desperately needed jolt of happiness to my wardrobe. And while we’re still at home, these shirts are undeniably summery and beachy.
On the solid color front, you know we love a white shirt. This Joie blouse keeps it interesting with bits of lace, pintucks, and white florals. This striped, romantic blouse from Lou & Grey goes with everything. Sea’s cerulean-blue, puffed-sleeve top is gorgeous, and would look especially striking with white pants. This lilac puff-sleeve blouse for H&M is a stylish, affordable option. If you’ve been keeping up with your at-home workouts, show off your amazing arms with this short-sleeve white number.
Who’s ready for color and patterns? This sherbet-colored Merimekko blouse is a feminine, pretty dream. This peasant blouse looks like wearable art, complete with an amazing sleeve detail. This gray-and-cream striped shirt is a little more subtle, as is this patterned red-and-white. And while right now I’m just wearing them with elastic-waist pants, in the future I’m thinking high-waisted flared jeans with some extremely cute wedges. This paisley patterned swing blouse would be wonderful with your favorite pair of skinny jeans and a chic leather sandal.
