Wedding season is right around the corner, along with longer days and warmer temperatures. Every year, I face the same existential question: what am I going to wear to all of these weddings?? Now, we’ve answered it for you with an edit of our favorite festive dresses from Saks.
For anyone suffering from FOSD (fear of sleeveless dresses), we’re here to help. Look at this Mac Duggal seafoam green dress! It looks like something out of a fairytale with it’s crystal-embellished fabric and ankle length hem. It’s perfect for a garden party this spring. Looking for something a little more modern? Reiss’s cherry red dress is all clean lines and statement sleeves, which would fit right in at a museum or warehouse wedding. For maximum drama, what about this kelly green Alice + Olivia organza cape dress! A cape!! It doesn’t get more Vogue than that!!
This year has all about color for me, and being unafraid to get away from my trusty black dresses and do something a little more out there. A wedding is a perfect time to do that! Staud’s organza dress is a delicious sunset-y ombré going from coral to purple. It reminds me of something one of Truman’s swans would wear in Palm Beach. A long-sleeve number from Mac Duggal is a more subtle take on color, playing with tonal green stripes and fun crystals.
Florals might not sound groundbreaking, but there are so many good ones this year you can wear for years to come. A bubblegum pink knee length dress with a peony border or this navy-blue metallic dress is perfect for any cocktail attire in your future.
Don’t forget to accessorize! I’ve been obsessed with jewelry lately and this DeMellier mini clutch is a whole lot cheaper than buying a couple big diamonds, but almost just as glamorous.
