This year feels like the first one where fashion is really and truly back, so our wardrobes need some freshening up. The weather has finally cooled off in LA, and we fall headfirst into coats, boots, and knits. From statement sweaters to gold chains, a signature red lipstick to party-ready sequins – our carts are full of pieces that are too good to pass up.
Sometimes it’s hard to write an entire article about the one random thing we’re really loving this season, but one thing a lot of our picks have in common is texture! Cable-knit, sequins, suede, and shearling are all making a mark in statement pieces. Take this COS teddy bear shaggy vest, these brown suede track pants from Tibi, or this pearl-colored sequin top from Anthropologie. This Tibi black fleece sweatshirt is a lesson in elevating the fabric, thanks to the oversized fit and interesting shape that reminds me of an art project.
An interesting coat can make your outfit for the whole season, and this Tory Burch white-and-black floral coat has a Merimekko vibe that’s neutral but still out of the box. Kule’s Chandler vest is a color blocking marvel in blue, yellow, green and tan – but it never seems too busy!
As always, we’re obsessed with finding the perfect pair of pants for every occasion. These Uniqlo wide-leg cords in cream feel insanely expensive, considering the $50 price tag. These Citizen of Humanity trouser jeans are the trendiest denim silhouette of the season, and their horseshoe jeans are positively avant-garde.
And of course, there are the little bits and bobs that make up a complete wardrobe. The perfect pair of small, chunky everyday hoops from Mejuri, oversized cat-eye glasses from Loewe, and an extra-thin black leather belt that can be wrapped around sweaters and blazers twice.
Maybe you’re ready to seriously splurge on a big-ticket item. Look no further than the recently revived Gucci Horsebit 1955 bag, which is in our carts – we’re just waiting for the right time to checkout.
