I honestly believe that there is nothing more fashionable or stylish than the perfect white shirt. In fact, I think it’s the true mark of a stylish person that they can make a white shirt and jeans look and feel like fashion. Whether you’re all about an oversized, borrowed from the boys fit or are craving something a little more dramatic like a puff sleeve, our white shirt shop is stacked with wearable, chic shirts that will make uniform dressing a lot more fun.
Of course, I’m partial to a slightly more oversized fit. ADAY’s Something Borrowed shirt is in their signature technical silk fabric, complete with dolman sleeves and a flattering fit that’s perfect for a French tuck. Kule’s Hutton shirt is inspired by one of our own style icons, Lauren Hutton, and her signature tomboy look. Take oversized to the next level with one of COS’s blousy options, like this shirtdress styled over black trousers or this silky, slinkier shirt.
Alex Mill has become a fast-favorite for American classics, which is no surprise considering he’s a former J.Crew designer. Pieces like this Bobby shirt with ruffled details on the collar or this Cup Of Jo collab with truly fabulous sleeves show why everyone is so obsessed with the designer. And speaking of J.Crew, their white popover shirt is a fun twist on the usual. I’ve been seeing a lot of utility shirts around too, and this Good Shirt from Good American or this two-pocketed beauty from COS are both great examples of the trend.
If you’re down to splurge a little bit, then this Co blouse is exquisitely structured and a worthy investment. I love the length of the back, and the slightly flared shape. But there’s no reason to break the bank. H&M makes a reliably great shirt, too!
