Tarzan and Jane mostly just heard the call of the wild but we are actually seeing a representation of animals absolutely everywhere. Each season we think, perhaps this is the moment when they are out of circulation, but no, they keep coming on and on and on. The zoo on the street is strong and you don’t want to go without at least one touch of wild Tarzan
We have seen snake and ocelot and cheetah and zebra. Lately we are seeing tiger, spotted hyena and giraffe but for falling into fall and on the edge of winter, no print roars more impressively than the leopard. Rich in browns and textures , leopard is our go-to when we want to make a statement that looks loud but isn’t really!
Faux fur (heaven forbids us from admiring the real skins) silk, cotton, tissue cashmere and all number of fabrications make the leopard accessible at all price points. We are crazy for this puffer car coat that will keep you warm and oh so of the moment chic, and the stuffy old Chesterfield is totally unstuffed with this coat.
If you are a little bit afraid of animals, why not start small and at the bottom with these calf hair bow flats, they are both demure and wild or stand up straight in these fantastic statement Chelsea flat boots. A tissue weight turtleneck will look glam under that new suit you are bound to be thinking about and if not, under almost anything will do. And if you are really, truly timid try tying this print scarf on the handle of your tote — it can be your gateway to the wild kingdom.
