Somewhere in between a kaftan and a dressing robe, there’s the kimono. A favorite of mine for many reasons (the first being that it always fits), I’ve also discovered it’s pretty much a perfect quarantine layering piece. The flowy, comfy outer layer is reliably bright and pretty. Plus, while I usually wear it over jeans and a t-shirt, I can confirm that it works just as well over whatever pair of athleisure sweatpants you’ve been lounging around in the past few weeks. Plus, when we return to the outside world, you can wear them on their own as shirts, or even as a bathing suit coverup.
