I don’t love swimsuit shopping, but I do love feeling great in a swimsuit. Who doesn’t? This year, I already snapped up J.Crew’s fun leopard print one piece, For our summer swim edit, we rounded up our favorite feel-good suits, and cute coverups to throw on over them.
When I worked in retail, I learned that J.Crew had some of the highest quality swimsuits in the business. I’m happy to report that’s still true! The leopard print one-piece I’m wearing in the header image is so comfortable and flattering. The Sculpt fabric sucks you in, in all the right ways. All of their one-pieces are really great right now! I love this black-and-white print with a u-ring neckline, and this cream crochet plunge suit.
Speaking of flattering, there’s nothing that tucks you in and smooths you over like Spanx. So it would make sense that their swimsuits make you feel like the best version of yourself. Their high-neck swimsuit in a rich blue is a great option for anyone looking for a little more coverage. It comes in a pretty red and classic black, too. And this sporty swim dress is another hit! I love that it provides more coverage, but the skirt still has some flirty, feminine appeal.
The final step in any poolside ensemble? A cute coverup! I love this J.Crew utility linen shirtdress in a dusty khaki color, perfect for going right from the pool to a long lunch or happy hour drinks. Tommy Bahama’s chambray dress is also great for double duty. I don’t wear that many sheer clothes anymore, but it can be fun for a coverup. I love this Anthropologie crochet and fringed tank dress, or this white patterned tunic.
