What can I say about cashmere that hasn’t already been said? It’s instantly luxurious, infinitely wearable, and always looks good. From cardigans to crewnecks, colorful to neutral, we put together an edit of our favorite fall cashmere sweaters that make everything feel cozier.
There are so many kinds of sweaters. Being spoiled for choice is a very good problem to have, but it also means you need to be specific. Are you looking for a cardigan? I’m partial to J.Crew’s perfect cardigan, which can be sized down if you want to wear it as a shirt. Or, in your regular size, it’s a wonderful layering piece over your favorite t-shirt. Reformation’s Clara cardigan has a similar slinky appeal, especially in a flirty color like this ballerina pink. On the more structured side, Quince’s cardigan is a super luxurious version of a lady jacket – complete with gold buttons.
In the winter, I end up wearing my crewneck sweaters like they’re t-shirts. For me, the perfect crewneck is just a little bit oversized so I always feel comfortable in it. But not too oversized, so I can still wear it underneath a blazer or leather jacket. This Reformation sweater, J.Crew’s cashmere crewneck, and Quince’s iconic $50 crewneck are all great options with tons of colors to choose from that won’t break the bank.
Your accessories might need a bit of an upgrade, too. In the header image, I’m wearing a cashmere wrap. Not only it is incredibly chic when you go tonal with your sweater, but it’s also deeply practical when you’re traveling. A baseball hat , once the peak summer accessory, gets an update fit for champagne and après-ski when it’s done up in cashmere. Don’t forget about your feet! A pair of ribbed cashmere socks make padding around on a cold morning much more enjoyable.
