Between leather boots, luxurious coats, and super soft cashmere, fall essentials can get pricey. But they don’t have to! Our High Low edit helps you get the designer look with key investment pieces – and more affordable designer dupes that still feel fashionable. Because great style shouldn’t have to break the bank.
To me, fall is about fabrics like leather, suede, and cashmere. This season, suede has been my biggest temptation – like these perfectly ruched Le Smoking Saint Laurent loafers I can’t get enough of. Steve Madden’s version doesn’t have the same small gold branding detail, but all the other design elements are there. Khaite’s brown suede shoe of the season is a pointy-toed, Western-inspired ankle boot that is a sleek finishing touch to any outfit. Yet again, Steve Madden comes through with its own version with so many of the same charming details
On the apparel side of things, you can always count on Quince to have a spot on dupe that doesn’t sacrifice quality. Take a look at this Jenni Kayne oversized cashmere sweater. I love the ribbed cuffs and collar, the dropped collar, and the effortless slouch of the silhouette. While Quince’s version isn’t quite as slouchy, it’s still a great option for $300 less. Max Mara’s camel wrap coat is the stuff of fashion legend, but Quince’s slightly shorter version still makes every outfit instantly polished when you put it on.
If you’ve been on Instagram the last few years, then you’ve seen these gold teardrop Bottega Veneta earrings on every It Girl and fashion influencer out there. I’m a firm believer that if you’re going to invest in anything, it should be jewelry. But if you love these earrings, you can get an almost identical look with this Quince pair for less than 100 bucks.
