You know I love some winter whites. I firmly believe the only important style rule is that you should feel good in it, and if that means wearing white after Labor Day, then so be it! But this year, I’m taking it in a more festive direction. Ir’s less winter white, and more….winter beiges or winter golds or winter vanillas. Because who doesn’t love dressing up a little bit?
I wear my white jeans all winter long, but the Aubrey gold coated jeans I’m wearing in the header photo are a fun deviation from the classic white. On the more classic side of things, these AG cream twill jeans are perfectly tailored at the ankle and these Madewell straight-leg jeans are a vintage-fit dream. For a little more drama, I love these high-waisted flare jeans from Rag & Bone.Nothing feels richer than a white sweatsuit, especially when it’s as comfy as this Monrow Teddy Fleece sweatsuit – sweatpants and quarter-zip!
A statement coat in a creamy shade is a complete outfit maker, especially considering coats are your outfit in the winter. This 3.1 Phillip Lim duvet coat looks comfy enough to sleep in, but the wide collar makes it far too fashionable for that. Kali’s hooded duvet jacket is a fresh, more elevated take on a puffer coat. A cropped bomber is the perfect match for high-waisted pants, and this AQUA faux-shearling coat is a beautiful version.
And of course, you can always throw on a cream sweater to fulfill your Cameron Diaz in the Holiday fantasy. A puff-sleeve turtleneck with bejeweled details or a crewneck cashmere sweater make for perfect layering pieces.
When all else fails, add a pop of white with some cozy accessories. Bloomingdale’s has a great cashmere program, and this ribbed cashmere scarf is a perfect final touch to any winter ensemble. How about a more ruffled version for the maximalists? Apparis’s faux-fur vanilla scarf adds instant texture to any outfit.
