Anybody else sick of shorts and linen pants? I’m already dreaming about colder temperatures and my favorite, trustworthy denim. I picked out my ten favorite pairs of jeans for looking ahead, perfect to pair now with a tank top and later with your favorite boots. The biggest silhouettes of the season continue to be a slightly oversized wide leg and a somewhat nostalgic bootcut. The bootcut feels the freshest to me right now, especially in a darker wash to dress it up. I’m wearing J.Crew’s skinny flares in the header image, and basically styled them like a trouser with the sweater blazer. This Mother Denim pair keeps the dark wash but feels a little less formal. The slightly cropped length of these Frame jeans make them the perfect pair for showing off your favorite boots all fall long.
Personally, I’m still obsessed with my wide-leg jeans. This Citizens of Humanity pair goes all the way to the floor, making your legs look like high-fashion tubes. I love the structure and drama of these jeans, especially with a plain white tee and really fabulous shoes. Madewell’s slouchy Boyjean is less rigid, more effortless. Like you just rolled out of bed and happened to find the world’s most comfortable pair of jeans. I tend to style these with my ballet flats to add a little polish to the look.
Maybe you’re just a classic straight-leg gal. That’s fine! Stick with what you love, regardless of trends. You can’t get anymore classic than Madewell’s 90s straight jean. Everlane’s 90’s cheeky jean takes it even skinnier, if that’s what you’re looking for.
