Happy 2025! The beginning of a new year is a perfect time to start fresh. Toss out your crusty mascara! Restock your almost-empty concealer! Below, the very best of beauty products we loved in 2024, and will keep using in 2025.
The most important part of any makeup routine is always your base aka your gorgeous face. For everyday use, I’m still obsessed with my Ilia Skin Tint. It’s just as much skincare as it is makeup, with the perfect amount of color correction and hyaluronic acid for glowing skin. There’s enough colors to match every complexion and it comes packed with SPF. For a more special occasion, Charlotte Tilbury’s foundation has more coverage, but it’s never cake-y.
To finish off my base, I always reach for Westman Atelier’s cream Baby Cheeks blush. It blends out like a dream. And instead of a chunky bronzer, Victoria Beckham’s thin contour stick is the easiest way to get a more sculpted look.
It’s time to throw out your old mascara, and go natural. The first time I tried Ilia’s Fullest Volumizing mascara, someone asked me if I was wearing fake lashes. How about that for a rave review! I also love the Jones Road mascara.
This was the year lip gloss rebranded to lip oil, which gives you the same shine with a little more hydration and a little less stickiness. I love Merit’s lip oil, but I’ll never stop wearing Chanel’s lip gloss either.
Finally, let’s talk about makeup brushes. It’s the kind of thing I never want to spend money on, but it truly makes a difference when It comes to application. You don’t need a lot – and if you wash them weekly they’ll last forever. Here are a few of my favorites: the Jones Road blush brush, the Laura Mercier foundation brush, and an easy to use eyeshadow brush. When I’m traveling, I often reach for this small, beautiful Teardrop Kabuki brush.
