There’s just something about the pairing of blue and white that feels right. It’s like chocolate and peanut butter or a martini and olives – it always feels good. Blue and white can be anything you want it to be. It can be sporty, preppy, nautical, even downright dressy! I’ve got long beach-y nights on the brain, and when we finally get there you can bet I’ll be wearing these Dissh white linen pants or this slinky white knit midi dress from the brand. La Ligne’s striped sweater is an iconic modern staple, and I especially love this cream and cobalt color palette, but it’s great in a more classic white-and-navy too.
And speaking of La Ligne, as we imagine sundress weather, I love this cap sleeve, smocked bodice dress in a cheery blue floral. On the more minimalist side, COS’s long sleeved denim dress feels very edgy in its conservatism. & Other Stories feminine, romantic long sleeved dress in a spring-y print will work all the way through summer.
Finally, an easy way to add some color is by swapping out your go-to white button down for something a little more blue like AYR’s striped shirt. On the dressier side, I’ve had my eye on this J.Crew Collection button down covered in light blue sequins. It would be an absolute dream with a crisp pair of cropped white jeans from AYR. Finish it off with J.Crew’s heritage-inspired comfortable mules in a powder blue. I also love this the long tweed jacket, which is a Chanel-y, lady who lunches power look. Anthropologie has a similar tweed-y vibe.
