January and February are all about relaxing and setting myself up for success the rest of the year. After the sparkly, booze-fueled rush of the holidays, I reset with a lot of time on my couch, curled up with a good book. I go back to basics in my wardrobe, too. Uniform dressing is the name of the game, and no one does elevated basics better than Frank and Eileen.
It’s no surprise that I love Frank and Eileen. I’m constantly drawn to their California-meets-Italy effortlessness. They make clothes that really enforce the idea you don’t have to be uncomfortable to look good, which is a belief of mine that only gets stronger as I get older.
One piece that I think really stands out is the Dublin blazer in their signature triple fleece, extra cozy fabric. I’ve found myself wearing it around the house over a thin cashmere crewneck as a chicer alternative to a sweatshirt! But it works just as well as a light coat when you’re running errands. I love the rich navy blue shade, but the heather white option is a great way to lighten things up without being too white.
The Monterey cotton sweater is another piece I’ve been wearing again and again. It has all the retro appeal of J.Crew’s old rollneck sweaters, but in a more flattering cut! I love how it’s oversized, but not shapeless.
Frank and Eileen also makes one of your favorite products: the Wicklow twill pant. It’s a relaxed chino, but it’s still fitted enough to be flattering. With tons of colors, it’s also really easy to style with whatever you have in your closet. If you are looking for something with a wider leg, the Westport pant gives you a perfectly balanced, swingy leg that won’t swallow you up.
