How To Dress For Your 4th Of July Party

Everything red, white, and blue. Fireworks not included.

How To Dress For Your 4th Of July Party

The Fourth of July is far enough away that you don’t have to worry about stocking up on sparklers and hamburger patties. Take a minute now to think about what you’re going to wear, so you don’t look around a week from now and realize you don’t know where all your white shirts went.

Where to start? Ralph Lauren, of course.  The brand itself is as American as apple pie and their iconic American flag sweater is the perfect sweater to wear all summer long. It comes in white and navy, so take your pick.Maybe you want something a little less on the nose? In that case, you can’t go wrong with a great white button down and a pair of blue jeans. You can’t get more American than a pair of Levi’s jeans. Throw on a striped t-shirt if you want to be even more casual.

Need something a little more formal? Sail to Sable’s blue tunic is preppy and fun. If it’s a little too short for you, wear it over a pair of white linen pants. You could add a bit of edge to it with white and blue sneakers, or lean in with white slides.

An outfit is about more than just the clothes though. It’s time to talk accessories. We’re obsessed with this straw hat, and the red detailing underneath the brim is just the right amount of extra. Ralph Lauren comes through (again) with two different bag options. The classic American Flag tote would be perfect for anyone heading to the beach, and the fanny pack works for anyone who’s still loving the trend.

Shop our patriotic picks below, and have a happy Fourth of July:
