A bright big bold sexy set of lips is the easiest way to say, “I am here, kiss me quick” If, like many women, you have been shy about taking the plunge to paint your mouth in shades of “Jungle Red” or “Bitch Perfect” or Pantone’s 2019 color of the year: “Living Coral” we have to ask: “what are you waiting for?” Our best suggestion is to take these new bold lips out for a nighttime spin. You won’t regret it and you might even ditch the nude lipgloss for a while.
Crimson, the color of Kings and Popes and Scarlett Johansson is the easiest way to lift your spirits and a happy coral or pink starts a party where one wasn’t previously planned. Even if you think you “can’t,” we think you “must.” Every gal should have at least one outstanding red or coral or pink lipstick in her arsenal, a tube of something gorgeous to sneak out of her evening bag for a little touch up –even if it isn’t really required.
Our list is filled with the celebratory variety: reds that won’t be bested, pinks that say far more than sweet and, of course, the packaging has to be divine. Pat McGrath’s playful tube or Serge Lutens’ minimal artful perfection will make your night. Admittedly, some of our favorites are precious (note: pricey), but that really is part of the point of why they are so special.
