Pearls are elegant, classy and can go with pretty much anything depending on how you style it. The classic collarbone length necklaces look great as a standalone, where the longer ones are fun to layer. They can add polish to jeans and a-tshirt, or take your ‘ladies who lunch’ look to the next level. It’s even possible to edge them up, with a leather motorcycle jacket. They can even be subversive, like Dior’s enormous, artsy earrings that played with proportions in a fresh and unexpected way.
Nowadays, pearls are on everything from fast-fashion leggings to oversized hair barrettes. Fashion has had a bit of a romantic obsession lately, fixating on pale shades of pink, ruffles, and ladylike cuts. Pearls fit in perfectly here. The current twist though?
