Around this time of year, I always start fantasizing about vacation. I start thinking about summer, about beaches, about putting on a pretty dress. I’m sick of the sweaters! Below, we put together a resort edit with a few things to look forward to: cute dresses and sandals from Bloomingdale’s. And if you’re one of the lucky snowbirds already in Palm Springs or Palm Beach, you can start wearing it immediately.
I’m wearing this fabulous floral slip dress and this hot pink sweater draped over my shoulders in the header image. Florals can feel a little predictable sometimes, but I love the oversized scale of the print and the artsy blur. It feels like wearing a painting! On the preppier side of things, there’s this white and blue block print dress from Aqua’s capsule collection with The White Lotus or this hot pink eyelet number with a very flattering a-line skirt.
Looking for something with sleeves? We’ve got you (and your arms) covered. FARM Rio’s blue and gold butterfly print dress has dramatic puffy sleeves and an ankle-skimming hem. Just a hint of cleavage balances the silhouette out so the dress still feels breezy and fun. I also love the brand’s kaftan-y take on boho in this cream white dress with a pretty botanical motif.
I’m really feeling textured sandals for this year. Rattan or wicker sandals are totally neutral, so they’re easy to wear with everything.
