How To Shop The Sales And Score Big

How to wear sequins now and later.

How To Shop The Sales And Score Big

I know you might be thinking, sequins? In January? But here’s a tip I learned from one of my fashionable friends: shop after the season! Yes, you might have to wait to wear it, but this strategy is the easiest way to get a lot more bang for your buck. Shop the sales below.

Personally, I like to wear my sequins year round. It seems like Tory Burch does too, because her show-stopping runway pieces have a spring and summer vibe to them. Look at this gorgeous lilac skirt! I love the white netting detail and the larger size of the sequins. I would wear this to any spring lunch or baby shower with a crisp white button down. And look at this extremely glam fringe cardigan, which will make you look like a 70s rock star with a white t-shirt and a great pair of jeans.

In fact, wearing denim is a fantastic way to tone down the drama of sequins. I love this Tory Burch textured sparkly sweater, which I will be wearing with my favorite dark wash denim and some kicky black slingback heels. For a similar look at a fraction of the price, this sparkly long-sleeve tee from Bloomingdale’s will do the trick.

There are so many sequined skirts to pick from that I had to do a separate section for them! These are incredibly easy to wear and style, so don’t be intimidated. It always helps to lighten up the color a little bit, like this rich bronze color or this slinky silver number. And if you have any black-tie weddings coming up, this bias-cut long sleeved Banana Republic dress will make you stand out in the crowd. I love the emerald color, and the elegant, subtle A-line shape of the skirt.
