Once spring ahead happens, I’m ready to pack away my boots and heavy sweaters for something a little bit lighter. I’m talking about spring sandals, baby! So grab a pair of our favorite sandals for yourself – and then go treat yourself to a pedicure.
I’m wearing this electric blue lace and organza dress, which I’m wearing with a spring break state of mind. There’s something very Palm Beach about it – especially when you pair it with a shimmery silver pair of thongs and square white sunglasses. There’s something so wonderfully summer-y about a metallic sandal. If silver doesn’t do it for you, this minimalist gold pair might do the trick. Sam Edelman’s Gigi sandal is even more minimal, with a barely there thong strap.
Since sandals tend to take up very little sartorial real estate, it’s great to take advantage with some texture. I love the tan-and-brown raffia sandals from Sam Edelman, which feel like a Birkenstock crossed with a Tory Burch shoe. The brand also has a beaded-and-leather version with a single slide. Leather, ropes, and contrasting brown and tan colors make these vacation-ready sandals extra interesting.
Of course, sometimes less is more! You just want to slip into something that will go with your tan, not make a statement on its own. I love these black thong sandals with a small tortoiseshell buckle. They look like something Jackie O would’ve worn in Greece. A chocolate-y dark brown pair are perfect for throwing on with your favorite jeans.
Sometimes you need a little bit of color, like these kelly green Kate Spade slides adorned with a huge bow. A pastel pink slide with a belt buckle is the same color as the smooth inside of a seashell. And the pink theme continues with this knotted flip flop in pale pink with extra cushioning on the sole.
