Your beauty routine should change seasonally, just like your wardrobe. During the winter, I’m focused on keeping my skin hydrated. For summer beauty, I want to maximize the benefits of makeup and skincare without having to use a million products. It’s all about a fresh, sun-protected face that you won’t sweat off. Today, I’m going to highlight three Nordstrom beauty brands, and my favorite products in each: Westman Atelier, Ilia Beauty, and Charlotte Tilbury.
Westman Atelier is a cult-favorite, clean beauty brand started by celebrity makeup artist Gucci Westman. Her products are perfect for the everyday, your skin and face but better looking vibe. The products not only go on luxuriously, but make just as much of an impact laying on your bathroom counter as your face. I use their Baby Cheek blush stick every day – the dewy finish gives me a hydrating wash of color instead of harsh powder. Her Lit Up Highlight Stick gives you a subtle shimmer, and if you want megawatt go for the Super Loaded Tinted Highlighter. I don’t love using foundation in the summer but a few swipes of their Vital Skin Foundation blended out is great for fancier nights out.
Ilia Beauty is a new kind of makeup line. It’s really more like skincare! Their products are packed with skincare superheroes like niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, and even Vitamin C! Their Super Serum Skin Tint is the world’s best tinted moisturizer. Plus, there’s SPF 40 in it in case you forget to put on your sunscreen in the morning. I’m obsessed with my Serum. My skin looks like an Instagram filter! Their Volumizing Mascara is my new favorite, and their highlighter stick is perfect way to fake a summer glow. The Multi-Stick adds a pop of color to your cheeks, lips, and eyes. It’s creamy, hydrating, and buildable.
Last, but certainly not least: Charlotte Tilbury. Her products are beloved by movie stars and beauty bloggers alike. This isn’t really the “no-makeup makeup” vibe, but you can use them individually for a more casual routine. The Flawless Filter face product is kind of like a BB or CC cream, for just a little bit of coverage that evens and brightens. For a big night out, you can reach for the Airbrush Flawless foundation! If you want to sculpt your face but a contour stick seems too intense, you can use Charlotte’s Sun-Kissed Glow Bronzer instead. It’s also just a nice way to get a little color if you’re avoiding the sun (like me!).
