When it’s hot out, I rely on a core collection of 10 products that I know I can put on and it will always look good, no matter how rushed or warm I am. Sometimes I use all of them for a big night out and sometimes I use only a few for running out of the house – either way, I use all of these summer makeup products down to the very last drop.
In the summer, I just want a little bit of coverage that I won’t immediately sweat off. Something to even my skin tone out and get rid of any redness. Westman Atelier’s Complexion Drops hydrate and brighten, but the formula is also packed with actual skincare – so your skin looks better after you use it too! Tsubaki oil, pomegranate, and ginseng all firm, brighten and hydrate. If I’m looking for even more coverage, then I grab my Westman Atelier Foundation Stick. The creamy, buildable formula melts right into your skin and leaves you with a natural finish.
Once I have my base, Dior’s Forever Skin Correct concealer goes on next to tackle any dark circles or imperfections. I love the feel of it, and that it doesn’t crease under my eyes! Blush and highlighter gives your face dimension and life, but I like keeping it as easy as possible. That means a swipe of my Baby Cheeks cream blush in a peachy-pink shade, rubbed in with my fingers, and a couple swipes of Super Loaded Tinted Highlight on the high points of my face. The shimmery gold-pink shade reminds me of an old favorite, Orgasm by Nars, but in a creamier, more hydrating formula.
Final steps! Time to tackle our eyes. I always wear mascara, and when I wear Ilia’s Fullest Volumizing Mascara people ask me if I’m wearing fakes. A couple swipes of Westman Atelier’s Bonne Brow eyebrow pencil fills out my brows and helps frame the face. I don’t always wear eyeliner, but when I do it’s usually Pat McGrath’s PermaGel pencil. It slides on smoothly, and stays there! A swipe of Merit’s lip oil Shade Slick keeps lips looking glossy without being too sticky, and provides just the right amount of color.
