One of my favorite thing about the holidays is hosting. As stressful as every single minute of prep work and logistics can be, it’s always worth it when everyone I love is sitting down around a table together at Thanksgiving.
For the first time in years, I had to buy some new cookware. How am I going to cook the best Thanksgiving ever when my pots and pans are cracked or have loose handles? I’ve been eyeing Caraway’s non-toxic ceramic cookware set for a while. This was the perfect time to take the plunge! My daughters are obsessed with the Great Jones dutch oven, which also makes a great gift. If you want to splurge there’s nothing better than a Le Creuset chef’s oven.
Let’s talk table. When I have guests over, setting the table is where I get to be creative and have fun. I love pulling out different serving platters, bowls, and linens. This beautiful wood bowl can do mashed potatoes as easily as a salad. And I’m eyeing this Serax x Kelly Wearstler low-footed, oval-shaped cake stand for some desserts – or maybe just to bring some drama to the bread presentation. But before we even sit down, there’s the first cocktail! Baccarat x Kim Seybert’s cocktail linen napkins are a charming way to kick off the day – especially if it’s paired with some nibbles on this Michael Aram marble cheese board and the drink is served in Baccarat’s iconic Harmonie glass.
If you’re a guest, don’t show up empty-handed! We love a gift that they’ll use after you go home. A candle always feels luxurious, and I’ve had this Nest Holiday candle burning around the house to get me in the mood. For different levels of gifting there are different sizes of candles! With this Astral Fir candle and it’s pine and cedar scent, Trudon proves why it is still one of my favorite candle brands.
