Between cooking three meals a day and always being in the house, it seems like there’s always dish towels to wash, dishes to put away, and surfaces to sanitize. So I rounded up the cleaning products that have made my nonstop tidying a little less terrible, and in some cases, downright pleasant.
Murchison-Hume is my go-to for home cleaning products. The packaging is gorgeous, the smells are divine, and the products have no harsh chemicals or sulfates. I’ve been going through a lot of their dishwashing liquid, liquid hand soap, all-room spray, and glass polish. Speaking of pretty things, this pink champagne soap from Wary Meyers makes every hand wash a little bit better. And these pink dishwashing gloves stay extra dry inside, which makes dishwashing a lot better too.
If you need something to put all of your newly purchased cleaning supplies, might I suggest this Hay crate? It comes in a variety of colors, it’s the right price point, and it keeps everything organized under my kitchen sink. Speaking of organization, these POP canisters are perfect for every snack or dry good you have in your pantry.
The Laundress’s line of specialty shampoos and detergent are lifesavers, especially if you can’t get to the dry cleaners as often as you used to. This Wool and Cashmere Shampoo will save the sweaters you’ve been living in. Their All-Purpose Bleach Alternative is nontoxic, biodegradable, and fragrance-free. Use it on your clothes but also any surface around the house. If you’re going to be doing laundry, you might as well have something chic to put your newly crisp clothing into. You can’t go wrong with this classic wicker and canvas option. Plus, if you don’t feel like putting your clothes away immediately, they’ll look much cuter sitting in this than on your counter.
