I have a problem with home, which probably isn’t a surprise. I can always find an excuse to update my tableware, or switch out some throw pillows on my sofa. Corona, as far as excuses go, has been a pretty good one. I know I’m lucky to be able to work from my home, but sometimes I just get sick of looking at the same thing everyday. So this article is all about a home refresh, thanks to the decor that you can swap out easily.
Let’s start with my biggest guilty pleasure: the tabletop. I love napkins, plates, silverware, and anything I might add to the tablescape to make the meal feel a little more special. Especially now. This brushed gold flatware is a change of pace, and the gold feels very fall to me. I love Jenni Kayne’s frayed linen napkins, which bring some texture into my tables. Goop’s chambray stripe napkins are also a great transitional set for in between now and full autumn. William Sonoma’s linens are also great, and these Aerin Block Print napkins are perfect for the pattern queens out there.
With the days getting shorter and crisper, there’s also plenty of opportunities for candles. Lately, I’ve been very into tapered candles in pretty holders. These little ceramic ones are low-key but instantly elevate any space. These squiggly, brass ones feel like pieces of art. This pack of antique-inspired candle holders would be great on any holiday table. Finally, you can never have enough clear hurricanes.
The temperatures will drop soon, and pretty soon it will time to cuddle up in blankets again. A new throw is a great way to add some newness to your living room. I love this thick hand knit throw, and this geometric jacquard throw in pretty beiges and golds feels timeless.
