This month, I’m looking forward to diving into fall dressing head-first. A cropped coat is a transitional staple, especially when it’s in a fun print or pop of color. A great pair of waxed denim splits the difference between classic jeans and leather pants. And what would October be without boots? Finishing off my list for the month is a tennis necklace, adding extra bling and a little glamour to even my t-shirts. Keep reading to shop what I’m loving for October.
The light blue and brown jacket I’m wearing in the header image is by L’Agence, and it’s one of my favorite purchases this year. It feels Chanel-y but not too stuffy. The same Angelina jacket also comes in an all-black version if anyone’s feeling spooky, and a deep midnight blue version with sparkling silver tweed. You don’t have to splurge to get this look! Veronica Beard’s Lars jacket amps up the drama with gold button hardware. J.Crew’s tweed cropped jacket comes in a pale blue and white, and a white and black version.
Waxed denim adds texture and cool edge, like a pair of leather pants you won’t overheat in. This high-waisted, wide-leg Mia jean from Joe’s Jeans is a statement maker. On the other end of the spectrum are these cropped skinny jeans from Frame. They’re almost more like petal pushers. Frame Denim’s mini boot flare is the perfect pair of straight-legged denim, which is still fashion’s favorite silhouette.
Bling is back, baby!! Not that it ever really left. While I have plenty of gold chains from the last few years, I’m looking to add a little sparkle with a tennis necklace. When you go for a cubic zirconia version, you get a whole lotta look for a wallet-friendly price. I love Theia’s necklace with stones that look like little flower petals, Melinda Maria’s Baroness necklace that’s perfect for layering, and Nadri’s classic CZ and silver-y sparkle version.
It’s not really fall unless you have a fresh pair of boots. J.Crew’s low-heeled boots are already a favorite of mine, in either suede or leather. Staud’s Wally ankle boot has a similar kitten-heel silhouette, but brings extra drama with black patent leather.
