We’ve all been spending a lot of time in the kitchen. In fact, Bob’s even taken a picture of every single meal we’ve made during quarantine. Looking at all the pictures, I feel really proud of myself. Between the pretty tabletop and plating to the actual food, I’ve stepped up my food game. All my secret little tips and tricks are in this article, in case you’re in need of a kitchen refresh.
When lockdown first started, the number one priority was making good coffee since I couldn’t do my daily Starbucks run anymore. If you’re all about the pod, or have been waiting to make the switch, this Cuisinart Coffee Maker is great. For lattes, it’s all about the espresso maker. If you’re a morning juice person, it’s time to start making your own green juice with a juicer.
When it comes to actually cooking food, I love my Caraway cookware, which is non-stick and non-toxic. Plus I love the chic cream color, and the navy is classic too. Bob and I have even done some pizza nights al fresco thanks to this Ooni portable pizza oven. It makes the most amazing crust – chewy and crispy and charred just like they do at restaurants. Drizzle a little bit of Brightland olive oil and Maldon salt and pretend like you’re in Italy.
When it comes to serving, you can never have enough cutting boards. I’m addicted Here’s a perfectly pizza-sized one. This white-and-wood version from Serena & Lily feels fresh. These reclaimed wood rectangular are perfect for charcuterie boards of every size.
When you’re done with dinner, it’s time for clean up. I’m not saying it’s fun, but just that these products have made it better. Cute dish towels are always a mood booster and I love the honeycomb motif on these. You can’t go wrong with a blue and white stripe, either. Finally, finish up with some dish soap from Murchison-Hume, in beautiful brown bottles and with an amazing fig smell.
