The Only Fall Denim Edit You’ll Need

This year, it's about personal style. Not trends.

The Only Fall Denim Edit You’ll Need

What is it about fall that makes me crave new denim? Maybe it’s just the after-effects of years of school, then college, then business school, but it really does feel like life restarts in the fall. Whatever your fall has in store, you deserve a new pair of jeans that will make you feel ready to take it on. Our denim edit this year is all about personal style and what you feel good in, as opposed to what’s trendy.

Bootcut

Bootcut jeans are making a comeback, and it’s not hard to see why. The new bootcut is subtle, and universally flattering. I love the wash on this AG pair, which is also great for tall women if that’s you! This pair from 7 For All Mankind is on the more extreme side, but perfect for wearing with your new fall boots.

Vintage-Inspired

There are so many great affordable denim options out there right now, it feels crazy to drop money on designer denim. But if you do want to, these Nili Lotan jeans are high-waisted, straight, and feel like something straight off a supermodel.

Skinny

Skinny jeans are here to stay, and we totally get why. They’re flattering, and look great under longer, tunic-y tops. I love the dark wash on these, and J.Crew’s toothpick jean is always a favorite. AYR’s skinny pair is all-time.

Straight-Leg

Not quite a boyfriend and not quite a skinny, straight-leg cut is a fashion favorite. This pair from J.Crew is high-waisted and long. I also love these AYR cropped ones, perfect for showing off clogs come fall. These super-dark wash ones will take you all the way through winter.

Boyfriend

Equally slouchy and sexy, boyfriend jeans are a middle-ground in between quarantine pants, and real pants. This light-wash version feels breezy enough for right now, but will still look great with your sweaters later. You can never go wrong with J.Brand, and I love this indigo shade.

Wide-Leg

A wide leg jean is a perfect way to stay comfy and cozy with a little more room for your thighs to breathe, but still maintain a bit of sophistication with the sharp silhouette. I love these ultra-high waisted dark wash jeans from Anthro, especially with a crisp white tucked-in button down. These lighter-wash ones from Mango are a little more casual, but just as stylish. This AYR pair is an ultimate fashion statement.
