Clogs Are Back: The Fall Trend We’re Loving

Clogs are back? We were surprised, too.

Clogs Are Back: The Fall Trend We’re Loving

I didn’t think that clogs were going to be one of my most coveted pieces of the fall, but here we are. I guess I shouldn’t be that surprised, considering my Birkenstock obsession. But clogs check all of my COVID checklist requirements: they’re comfortable, they’re versatile, and they make me feel good when I slide into them.

First, the shoe that started it all: Everlane’s camel-colored leather clog is really good-looking, especially if you pair it with a cropped, flared pant to show it off. J.Crew’s pair of black clogs take it to the next level with nailhead details and a loafer-like upper.

A clog doesn’t necessarily mean a heel, though. Jenni Kayne’s shearling mules are so chic and inject texture and visual interest into any outfit. They also have a pair that’s tan suede on the outside, and shearling-lined on the inside for maximum coziness.  Steve Madden also has a faux shearling in black, if that’s more your color story. Speaking of black, this price-y pair from Marni is totally splurge-worthy.

If you like a little bit more of a statement clog, you should go with an animal print. J.Crew’s pair has a little extra design-y detail, which you know I love. Plus, if you’re worried about putting on heels for the first time in months, it’s really more of a flatform. If you’re ready for a bigger heel, Loeffler Randall’s pair is the one for you. This calf-hair clog from Madewell is a more subtle take on the print.

And finally, because I’m still not leaving the house that much, the perfect pair of slipper clogs when I’m walking from the table to the kitchen to the sofa.
