This season’s look is all about the small, sleek heel – perfectly encapsulated in this pair of Stevie J.Crew boots. COS’s pointed toe leather boot is even shorter in the body of the boot, which are new proportions. Staud’s Wally boot looks similar, but I love the maximalist color updates like this sexy patent leather and this half-white/half-black checkerboard version.
The most timeless version of the boot, to me, is a high-but-still-comfortable block heel you can wear anywhere. Stuart Weitzman stretch booties in suede will inject an interesting textural element to your outfit, and Marc Fisher’s leather version won’t break the bank.
There are tons of ways to inject a little bit of interest with fun, unexpected details. These low-heeled By Far boots have a shoes-with-socks vibe, and would look especially cute with slouchy trousers or flared jeans.
