I’m usually pretty minimalist when it comes to my makeup. But like everything else about this time of the year, it’s fun to get a little festive with your face. A red lip, an easy-to-use bronzer, a setting spray that actually works – these holiday beauty MVP’s might be in heavier rotation during party season, but they’re still essentials the rest of the year too!
The first step to a flawless face? The right base. For a special night, I upgrade from my usual Ilia tinted moisturizer to Giorgio Armani’s Power Fabric foundation. It’s full coverage but without looking too matte or cake-y. My skin looks radiant and real, especially with a spot of glowy pink blush from Westman Atelier in either powder or cream formulas. And when you’ve finished, don’t forget to spritz a few times with Charlotte Tilbury’s Setting Spray to make sure you stay flawless all night long.
A little sparkle on the eyes is an easy way to bump the drama up, and a color palette gives you a little more options than a single pod. This mini sultry palette from Anastasia Beverly Hills comes with nine different colors – with matte, neutral, and sparkly options. I’ve been obsessed with Victoria Beckham Beauty ever since it launched. Her Lid Lustre eyeshadow and Satin Kajal eyeliners are heavily pigmented, easy to apply, and have serious staying power. Plus, even the packaging is gorgeous and there are tons of colors.
At the end of the day, what’s more festive than a red lip? Armani’s liquid matte lip will stay on through many glasses of champagne. Givenchy’s Le Rouge lipstick comes in a silver mirrored case that reminds me of a disco ball. Charlotte Tilbury’s matte revolution lipstick is a celeb favorite for a reason.
