Looking through all of the street style photos from fashion month, certain things kept popping up on very stylish people. After the years of pandemic fashion, it feels like there are trends that finally feel new again. The riding boot is one of them! After years of block-heeled booties and stiletto boots, the flat riding boot is taking the fashion crowd by storm. Wear with your favorite knit dress, cropped jeans, or slouchy trousers!
You don’t have to break the bank to get a new statement shoe! Vince Camuto, one of our favorites for affordable shoes that still pack a stylish punch, has a beautiful pair with visible seaming. Michael Michael Kors’ Bromley boot is super slim, and stays right on the calf with a stretchy back panel.
An interesting way to add a little flair is with some hardware. It doesn’t have to be a lot, just a little bit of shine can go a long way. Tommy Hilfiger’s riding boot has a gleaming logo on the outer side of the boot, and Dear Frances’s saddle boot is a very chic equestrian-influenced boot with soft gold hardware.
Maybe you already have a pair of black boots and you’re looking to switch it up: go for a rich chocolate brown. Golden Goose has a perfectly worn-in pair with stirrup inspired designs, and Blondo’s suede brown boots are waterproof for an added practical benefit.
If you’re comfortable splurging on a pair of riding boots that will last for years – mix it up by going for something with a more bucket-y shaft. It’s like the cross between a classic riding boot and a Wellington. The Row’s Grunge boot is definitely splurge-y, but worth it. Stuart Weitzman’s knee-high boot is a cult classic, but we love the slight lug-sole on this version to give it some edge. Legres is a newer brand we’ve started noticing, and their riding boot is more than enough to get attention.
