Jeans are one of the most personal items in any woman’s wardrobe. Whatever your silhouette of choice, we’ve got it! I always find myself drawn to slightly oversized or vintage-inspired pairs, something with a bit of the good slouch. I love AG’s Allegra jean, which almost reads like a trouser. Thanks to Zac Posen, Gap’s in a new golden era, and these $60 wide-leg jeans are just begging to be worn on a beach. J.Crew’s curvy slim jean is a great example of what I mean by the good slouch. They never overwhelm you, and they hold their shape. It’s effortlessly cool!
When the temperature raises, so do my hems. I love a cropped jean, perfect for showing off a cute sandal or just an especially tanned ankle. Frame’s The Reboot is a fashion favorite for a reason. There’s just enough of a flare to balance out proportions for a super-flattering fit. Mango’s Sienna jean has a more subtle flare if you like a straighter silhouette.
Did you hear skinny jeans are coming back? Personally, I never stopped wearing mine but it does feel exciting and fresh to style them again. Banana Republic’s high rise ankle length jean, AYR’s body-skimming The Stir, and Zara’s rock n’roll-inspired fitted flares are all great places to dip your toe back in.
