Clogs are the perfect example of a trend coming back around the bend. This year, even the absolute tippy-top designers like Chanel and Hermés is sending a version of the comfy shoe down the runway, and we’re kind of obsessed. They give you just enough of a heel without hurting your foot, and they’re a lot easier to style than you think. I know you’ll love them as much as I do.
We can start with the basics, like these J.Crew convertible clogs with stud detailing. You can’t beat the price, and seashell-pink color is fresh and fun. If we’re talking about clogs, we can’t forget to mention the Swedish brands. I love this light brown pair with a ribbon-y detail from Hasbeens, and this dark brown-and-buckle combo from Dansko.
Wanting something with a little more flair? Leopard print (as always) can lend the perfect pop of pattern to any outfit, especially when it’s actual calf hair like this Sundance pair or this Hasbeens pair. Or maybe you want a more flatform-y pair that’s weatherproof, and even has a charming chain detail across the top?
Tory Burch’s Jessa clog comes in so many different options that there’s one for everyone. A classic camel suede, black shearling, cream shearling, even a colorful patchwork suede. But my personal favorite? This rich, dark chocolate brown shade that feels perfectly at home in September as it will in February.
In my opinion, it’s a worthy silhouette to splurge on, especially if you want a little bit of heel height without sacrificing comfort. Gucci’s clog with a bamboo buckle are extremely wearable everyday, and Bottega Veneta’s black leather shoe with a colorful sole are a more modern take. Go for a full winter fantasy with this Chanel version, lined in cozy shearling.
