L’Oreal – Our Go To Age Perfect Skincare and Makeup

Beauty doesn't have to break the bank.

L’Oreal – Our Go To Age Perfect Skincare and Makeup

Skincare is one of the things I experiment with all the time – and you know what I found out? That sometimes the newest or most expensive thing just doesn’t live up to the hype. It’s important to build up a roster of skincare and beauty brands that I can rely on, and nothing is more reliable than L’Oreal. Below, I talk about a few of my tried-and-true favorites from the classic brand that I still use today.

Skincare

The first step to truly great skin is cleaning it properly, and French women taught me the power of micellar water. L’Oreal’s Micellar Water is an easy and gentle way to remove makeup, dirt, and grime from the day without stripping your skin of essential oils.

Recently, I’ve been reaching for their new L’Oreal Midnight Serum most nights. When it comes to beauty products, I look for certain ingredients that I know work like Vitamin E and Hyaluronic Acid. Vitamin E is an antioxidant that is effective at reducing UV damage, and Hyaluronic Acid is known for its hydrating and plumping properties. But what does the serum actually do? It smooths wrinkles and firms your skin thanks to increased cell production. The L’Oreal Midnight Serum works on all skin types and tones, even sensitive skin! Plus, the bottle looks seriously beautiful sitting on a countertop or vanity.

Mascara

The very first mascara I bought at a drug store was L’Oreal, and though a lot has changed since then, I still reach for their mascaras more often than not. I use the Voluminous Super Star X Fiber  because I love that it comes with a primer for extra, extra long lashes. It gives me length, volume, and a true red-carpet look without having to reach for falsies. And the primer is black, so it stays hidden. Their Volume Millions Lashes is great for a more everyday look, too. Your eyebrows are just as important as your eyelashes, and I run the Micro Ink Pen over my brows to fluff and fill before running out the doors every morning. It just makes me feel put together.

Lipstick

This one might be obvious, but who can resist a great lipstick? I keep them stashed in all of my purses, car consoles, and desk drawers. The Colour Riche Lipstick is one of the originals, and still one of the best. I recognize the glint of the gold tube anywhere it’s hiding. Even if you’re not in a lipstick mood, you can always go for an easy glossy balm or a lip gloss.
