We love a major fashion moment as much as the next person, but what we’re really loving right now is our fall uniform. You probably have one already – a favorite brand of t-shirts, your go-to cut and style of jeans, an elegant shoe that you love so much you have it in two different colors. This fall, we found ourselves gravitating towards old favorites with modern updates.
First, with summer finally gone, we’ve started wearing our boots again. This season, there are tons of knee-high statement boots. It’s impossible to go wrong with animal print, and Staud’s comfortably-heeled boots in a gray snake print basically work as an interesting neutral. We’re wearing with long skirts and slouchy sweaters. Our everyday boot is flat and black, and this pair from Ash delivers a little extra flair with the patent leather finish.
We’re still wearing our Levi’s, and it seems like the straight-cut affordable Wedgie cut will never go out of style. Pair the cool-girl denim with a crisp button-down and brown leather loafers for an unbeatably chic look. Don’t forget to layer in your favorite gold jewelry, like these Jennifer Fisher hoops we’re never not wearing. Raey’s long denim skirt has also been in heavy rotation, usually paired with a crewneck cashmere sweater.
One item we’ve put into a heavier rotation is the perfect slightly-oversized plaid blazer, like this one from Solace London. We never blindly go along with trends, but the tailored moment fashion is having right now is one we certainly can get behind. And since we’re never quite sure if we’ll need another layer, we’ve been relying on sweater coats and cardigans that keep us cozy but we can easily slip out of.
