The Skincare Devices That Are Better Than A Facial

Products that bring at-home facials to the next level.

The Skincare Devices That Are Better Than A Facial

Technology has come a long, long way – and I’m not just talking about cell phones. As our world has gotten more technologically advanced, it’s led to some leaps and bounds in at-home skincare. What used to be available only in dermatologists offices can now be found in your medicine cabinet. Whether you’re looking to rejuvenate your skin or just treat yourself, these skincare devices are going to make you look and feel better.

You don’t have to break the bank to get a nice treatment at home! Jade rollers are an easy, fun way to de-puff your face after a long flight or maybe just too many margaritas. The lymphatic drainage reduces the look of wrinkles and puffiness. Just make sure you always roll up! I also like to keep mine in the fridge to help with puffiness. Gua sha stones require a little more technique than a roller, but it lifts your skin and leaves you with brighter skin.

Besides a jade roller or gua sha tool, all the high-tech stuff uses micro-currents to tighten, contour, and sculpt your face. In my opinion, the NuFace is the gold standard of at-home advanced skincare. Yes, it’s pricey – but I promise it’s worth it. So, what is the NuFace? It’s a micro-current facial toning kit that tones, lifts, and contours your face.  This one comes with a special attachment to attack the appearance of wrinkles. Here’s a little warning: you really need to use it regularly. Ideally that means every day! If you’re not committed, then your results are just not going to be *that* noticeable.

Sometimes, special areas need special attention, like our eyes! Dr. Dennis Gross’s EyeCare Pro LED device uses light therapy to reduce the look of wrinkles and dark circles better than any cream or serum might. You can even go full Hannibal Lecter in their LED-therapy mask that targets wrinkles, but also can attack acne or blemishes at the cellular level!
