Perhaps the best indication that spring is coming? When I start reaching for my short sleeve white t-shirts again. And after a season tucked away under sweaters and in drawers, it’s always nice to get a few new ones – that don’t have any mystery stains. Shop our favorite spring t-shirts now!
There are tons of places, price points, and silhouettes you can look for a t-shirt. I have my everyday t-shirts, my cooking t-shirts, and then my fancier t-shirt. Hopefully, you can find one that suits every category in this article! Except for cooking tees, which you should only be buying from Hanes.
Let’s start out with the everyday workhorses. You don’t want anything too special or expensive for this. These are the ones that look polished enough with your favorite slouchy jeans. Gap has been looking really good this season, and their classic American sportswear obviously extends to t-shirts. I love the Modern V-neck shirt and their slightly shrunken vintage crewneck are two great options. J.Crew’s vintage jersey t-shirt crewneck shirt clocks in under $30 dollars, and is thick enough to hold structure without the clinginess I hate in tees.
If you’re looking for a way to add a little something special to the white tee, then it’s all about the details. I love the slightly fluttering sleeve on this v-neck, the retro 3/4 sleeve length and almost boatneck of this Michael Stars tee, and the extra baggy slouch of this shirt.
These days, you can really dress up a t-shirt with the right trouser and a fun heel, especially in summer months. I love COS’s knit tee, which has an elbow length sleeve and a substantial weight that adds drama. ATM Anthony Thomas Melillo is my favorite splurge-worthy brand. I know it’s a lot for a tee, but they make the best t-shirt I’ve ever worn in my life. The crewneck tee and short sleeve v-neck tee are my favorite.
