Now that I’m all grown up, not much surprises me. I have reasonable expectations and fully expect that products will disappoint, people are only human and politicians, just barely so. When something or someone OVER delivers, I am delighted, grateful and just plain happy. My most recent tale of happiness is the result of a simple product, so simple; in fact, they call it “micellar water.” Specifically, it is called “Sensibio H2O and if it weren’t so gross to demonstrate, I would.
This stuff works wonders. Five times now, on different days, and after different levels of maquillage, I have washed my face with three different kinds of facial cleaner: a soap-free cleanser, a micro-exfoliant and a creamy tried and true cleanser. I use a makeup removing facecloth or facial sponge and I always, because Ernest Lazlo said so, splash my face twenty times (and yes, I cheat.)
After each wash, I swiped a cotton pad soaked in BIODERMA and it showed dirt … I mean real dirt and after all that washing! All this without evil parabens and allergens.
How can this be so? I’ve been washing my face for hmn-hmn years, I know how to do this, but now reality is staring me down and I’ve got to admit, this is some secret fantastic juju. I’m adding another ten seconds to my nightly routine because cleanliness is, like mama always said, next to some higher-power-ness.
