Doing your brows is one of those things that might not seem like a big deal, but can make me feel done up even if I’m in sweats. I just feel like my face is ‘on’. I never used to do them, but as I’ve gotten older my eyebrows have thinned out. Go figure, right? We have hair where we don’t want it, and less of it where we do.
First, brush your brows up with an eyebrow brush. There are plenty of pencil/brush combinations, like this Anastasia Brow Wiz pencil, this IT Cosmetics Universal Brow pencil, or this brow shaping scissor and brush set.
If you need something a little more low-key, no worries! Yes, you can brush and then fill in with a separate pencil, but there are lots of brushes with tinted gel that only require a brush and fluff. Benefit’s Gimme Brow Volumizing Tinted Eyebrow Gel is a cult-favorite among makeup artists. Charlotte Tillbury’s Legendary Brows has a smaller brush for extreme precision. This Brow Microfilling Pen will do the job, too.
Need a shape-up? You can’t get a better tool than Tweezerman tweezers, and it even comes with a nifty little travel kit so you never have to go without. Sephora’s Uncomplicated Brow Tool set is perfect for the eyebrow pros, complete with two different brushes for filling your brows in.
